Tokyo 2020: Lagos State Government Supports Six Athletes With Cash By Sampson Adedeji In order to motivate and gear them up for the task ahead, Lagos state government under Babajide Sanwo-olu has doled out cash to support six Lagos State athletes who will represent Nigeria at the Olympic, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. The qualified athletes have commenced intensive training both within and outside the country in order to be in top shape for fast approaching games. The amiable governor gave a whooping N20 million to the athletes to intensify their training and ensure they secure medal for the country. The six athletes include: Jide Omotayo (Table Tennis), Seye Ogunlewe (Athletics), Ahmed Koleoso (Para table tennis), Adijat Olayori (Weightlifting), Anuoluwapo Olayori (Badminton) & Godwin Ofolu (Badminton) were all given money as training grants. The state has been busy in the last a week hosting athletics competitions as athletes continue to fight for qualification tickets for the Games.
