Sunday Dare has confirmed that the present sets of Nigeria wrestlers are primed to rewrite the country story at the forthcoming Tokyo Olympic games, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. Wrestling is one of the sports that is yet to give Nigeria medals in the Olympic and the minister is optimistic that this year will be different. The minister made the statements during his visit to the team camp in Bayelsa state where they are preparing for the games. "My impression is that I'm impressed, I didn't expect anything different knowing the work ethics of not just the president also young these young wrestlers. "I've followed their progress in the last 2 years, we've sent them to so many championship around the world, we've seen them excel, they've been consistent in their performance, so coming here today and I see them at high level. The spirit is high, the level of technicality and depth is comparable to what we else where in the world so I'm impressed and I can assured you that these wrestlers are ready to take on the world. "We are sure of getting medals for the first time from wrestling, they've gone out beaten some of the best ranked wrestlers in the world and I think they are ready, I'm confident they will rewrite the story of Nigeria when it comes to the Olympics," he said. Five wrestlers are qualified to represent Nigeria at games.
