Tokyo 2020: Team Nigeria In The Dark Over Relay Races

With few days to departure of the first batch of the Team Nigeria to the much awaited Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, the Nigeria side yet to be sure about its participation in one of the relay race, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
Team Nigeria competed for a spot in the relay races organised in the championship that was held in Nigeria and they were able to pick the much desire ticket.
According to the report coming from the World Athletics, two out of three Nigeria's Women relay team were listed for the events.
The athletics body through a press release announced closure to the qualification to the games and list of qualified athletes were also released.
The 4x100m team led by Blessing Okagbare was listed alongside mixed relay that was made up of Imaobong Nse Nko, Nathaniel Samson, Patience Okon George and Chidi Okezie.
Missing on the list was 4x400m, they ran 3:26:84 at the just concluded Lagos open athletics championship but the reason for the omission is yet to be ascertained.
World Athletics further confirmed that 1900 athletes from 190 countries will compete at the Olympic games and Athletics event is slated to start on 30th of July.
