Torino Signs Nigeria’s Ola Aina On Loan

Nigeria and Chelsea’s versatile defender, Ola Aina, is on the verge of joining Italian Serie A side, Torino on loan. The move is subject to medical.
Sky Sport Italia confirmed earlier today that Torino have reached an agreement with Chelsea, Aina’s parent club.
The versatile defender was spotted at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday evening when Torino faced Cosenza in the third round of the Coppa Italia.
Torino will sign Aina on a season-long loan with an option to buy inserted into the deal, subject to the Super Eagle passing a routine medical on Monday morning.
The former England U19 skipper was linked with possible moves to Villarreal, PSV Eindhoven and Frosinone, as well as Championship clubs Derby County, West Brom and Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Torino manager Walter Mazzarri prefers to line up in a 3-5-2 formation and Aina has all the qualities to play as a wing back, defensive midfielder or central defender.
Aina, who chose to represent Nigeria at senior level ahead of his country of birth England, spent the whole of last season on loan at Hull City, for whom he made 46 appearances in all competitions
