Nation-Wide League One (NLO) team, 36 Lion were the early bird as they arrived the State of Harmony on Sunday. The number of teams increased on Tuesday, with all the participating teams checking into the respective hotels they had made reservations with a view to beat the jet lag owing to the long travel to Ilorin. General Coordinator of the county’s most glamorious and prestigious pre-season club tourney, Tunde Shamsudeen said: “Glad no team experienced any challenges as it was safe travels for them all. “Like every passionate fan and teams in the domestic game in Nigeria, there is that feeling of togetherness when the day to kick off the season comes. We are excited as the wait is finally over, so we’re set to witness the first round of matches of the tourney. “Let me use this medium to remind our fans that none will be allowed into the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Sports Complex owing to the laid down protocols of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as it bids to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19 virus. “Going a step further, fans can still watch all Ogunjobi Gold Cup matches online as we’ll be live streaming and also fans can listen to match commentries and analyses on sportflamesradio.com.” Gombe United and FC Ebedei will kick off the pre-season with the first game of Day One at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin Main Bowl at 8 a.m. MatchDay One Fixtures FC Ebedei vs Gombe Utd 8am ABS FC vs Ekiti Utd 10am Remo Stars vs 36 Lion 2pm N.
