Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea: Jorginho's penalty lifts the Blues to sixth

Tottenham
Thomas Tuchel picked his second consecutive victory as Chelsea boss following a 1-0 win over Tottenham on Thursday evening.  Chelsea were dominant in the first half and were awarded a penalty that was coolly converted by midfielder Jorginho. Chelsea were awarded a penalty 23rd minute after Timo Werner was brought down inside the danger zone by Eric Dier. Azpilicueta picked out the run of Werner, who got into the penalty area. He battled for the ball with Dier and he got the better of the defender who went to the ground. Dier stuck out a boot in an attempt to clear the ball, but he caught Werner, and referee Andre Marriner pointed to the spot. Jorginho stepped up and fired it with power into the bottom left-hand corner with Lloris guessing the right way but the extra power meant he got nowhere near. Thomas Tuchel has the biggest win of his short Chelsea career. it's now a draw, two wins and three clean sheets from his opening three games. The victory sees Chelsea move up to sixth, while Tottenham, who endured a disappointing night, stay eighth.
