Transfer: Oghenekaro Etebo Joins Watford By Omolagba Oluwayemi Another Nigerian, Oghenekaro Etebo has joined newly promoted Premier League side, Watford FC from Stoke City on a season long loan, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The box-to-box midfielder, capped 38 times by Nigeria's senior team, having previously turned out 19 times for the Super Eagles' Under-23s is the second Nigerian to join the hornets having recently signed Emmanuel Dennis from Club Brugge. A statement from the club's official website reads: "Watford FC is pleased to confirm the signing of Peter Etebo on a season-long loan from Stoke City, with an option to buy." Since joining the Potters in June 2018, Etebo has also spent time on loan at Getafe and Galatasaray, appearing in the Europa League for the latter. Etebo becomes the fifth Nigerian in the team with, Isaac Success, Tom Dele-Bashiru, William Troost-Ekong and Emmanuel Dennis other four. Etebo began his career in Nigeria with Warri Wolves before switching to Portuguese outfit Feirense in 2016. With Feirense he earned an immediate promotion to the Primeira Liga, then helping the team establish themselves in the top flight.
