Danish Superliga side Randers have announced that 2021 Super Eagles invitee Vincent Onovo has been loaned out to Hungarian club Ujpest for the remainder of the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The defensive midfielder joined Randers in August 2021 from Ujpest, where he spent three and half years.
Randers FC writes on their website:
- Vincent has been really professional in his approach to things, but he has not managed to get stuck in the starting lineup, where there has been really tough competition for places. He has done fine, but his competitors in the position have been really good. Therefore, it makes good sense for both us and him that he can go back to familiar surroundings and get more continuous playing time than he has the prospect of right now with us, says sports and commercial director Søren Pedersen to the club's website
Since his arrival, it has been 14 matches for the 26-year-old midfielder, who returns to Ujpest FC to get more minutes in his legs:
"I want to play football and that's the most important thing for me right now. I have been happy to be in Randers, where everyone has been incredibly good to me, and I have learned a lot," Onovo said to Randers official website
Nigerian Vincent Onovo has previously made his mark in Finnish football before joining Ujpest FC, where he played 127 matches, before switching to Randers FC.
He is again allowed to wear jersey number 30 in the Hungarian club.
