Transfer Talk: Newcastle have cash for likes of Mbappe and Kane

Transfer

Newcastle can spend up to £190million in January without breaking financial fair play rules.

That means the likes of Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe are not out of reach for the Magpies.

Former owner Mike Ashley’s reluctance to spend any cash means Newcastle have more wiggle room than any other Premier League club.

According to the Telegraph, it means that no players in Europe are out the question for the Toon Army.

But it is unlikely that the likes of Mbappe and Kane would move to a club embroiled in a relegation battle.

Even so, it shows the spending power that the North West giants have following their controversial takeover.

Spanish outlet Sport report that Philippe Coutinho is one of the first realistic names on Newcastle’s list.

Barca are keen to cut ties with their expensive Brazilian and the Spanish paper say that the new owners have previously been in conduct with Coutinho.
