Transfer Update: Genk Keen On Uche Agbo With Agreements Almost Finalised
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
KRC Genk are nearing agreements for Nigeria eligible striker, Uche Agbo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to British media, the Limburgers would have an auction of 3.5 million for the Chelsea striker who was successfully loaned to Cercle Brugge last year.
The 22-year-old Briton scored 16 goals in 32 matches for the Association. After Sadick, Trésor, Eiting and Juklerød, Ugbo would be the fifth incoming transfer for Racing Genk.
Genk may also be anticipating the departure of Paul Onuachu, but there is no certainty.
Paul Onuachu had been a subject of speculation in the transfer window but no agreement reached yet for him from clubs and interests from admirers seems to have cooled down.
Agbo, Chelsea striker will have to compete with another Nigerian, Cyriel Desser for the top nine position and if Onuachu leaves but should Onuachu remain with Genk, it'll become a battle of three Nigerian brothers for Genk's number position.
