Former FC Porto defender returned to the Super Eagles starting lineup against Cape Verde after sitting out in the first match against Lone Stars of Liberia. Awaziem joined the Portuguese Primeira Liga side Boavista from another Portuguese club FC Porto. While with Boavista, Awaziem saw regular football action and was able to help the club in the league and cup competition.
