Despite moving to the Jupiler league as a high-profiled player from Dutch Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo, he finds it hard to tie down a regular playing time.
The presence of lanky Nigeria international Paul Onuachu and the acquisition of Nigeria born Ike Ugbo are seen to be responsible for this move.
The report further suggests that Leganes also have the option to buy Dessers for €4 million at the end of the season.
Dessers who made his international bow with Super Eagles in an international friendly against Algeria still has a valid contract with Genk till 2024.
