Transfer Update: Uzoho Joins Omonia Nicosia

Despite parting ways with Apoel FC Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has chosen to remain in Cyprus,

Apoel FC on Wednesday announced the mutual termination of Uzoho contract and further wish him best in his future endeavours.
However, another Cyprus premier league side, Omonia Nicosia a few hours later completed the signing of the Nigeria international on a 3-year deal.
Uzoho announced his arrival into world football when he made appearance for Spanish La liga side Deportivo La Coruna and later has a short stint in the Segunda division.
He moved to Cyprus after he failed to tie down a regular shirt at Deportivo and he has been able to help the club both in the league and cup games.

Uzoho will surely be at home at Omonia as two Nigeria international Shehu Abdullahi and Iyayi Atiemwen are already part of the club.
The former Golden Eaglet safehand is presently in the national team camp getting ready for the opening group world cup qualifier against Lone Stars of Liberia slated for Friday in Lagos.
