Nwakaeme was introduce in the 65th minute for Senegalese international Badou N'Diaye but his introduction did little to influence the outcome of the game.

The result ensured that Trabzonspor remained second behind Instabul Basekhir with 62 points from 31 matches, while Nwakaeme has netted 11 goals in the league.
