Skipper of the team and FC Barcelona Femenino striker Asisat Oshoala was the star of the game as she netted four goals out of the 9 goals scored. Floodgates of goals opened for Nigeria earlier in the game and by 15th minute of the encounter they are up by 3 goals with a brace from Oshoala. Oshoala scored her 4th goal and Nigeria's 9th goal in the 85th minute just before Equatorial Guinea defender Gina was given a marching order for a dangerous play on Nigeria's Ramat Abdulkareem.
