Turkish Super Lig: Etebo Disappointed With Galatasaray Result
By Sampson Adedeji
It was a bad day in office for Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Etebo Oghenekaro on Sunday as his club in the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to Kasimpasa, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Etebo joined the former champion this summer on loan from English championship side, Stoke city, having spent last season with Spanish La Liga club, Getafe.
Despite Galatasaray dominating the game, it was the home side that netted the winning goal.
Erdogan scored the winning goal on the stroke of half time and all the efforts of Galatasaray to come back proved abortive.
Reacting after match, the unhappy former Warri Wolves player stated on his official twitter handle:
"Its not important for me to show good performance if we lose. Everyone including me are sad with this result," he said.
Etebo is expected to link up with the national team for up coming international friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia this weekend.
