By Uche Dozie At a ceremony on Tuesday, Kenya Tuker Lager handed National Olympic Committee Kenya a cheque of 45 million of Kenya Shilling as sponsorship to the Tokyo Olympics, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Over 90 athletes of Team Kenya who will be going to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games scheduled for this year now have huge backing as they prepare for the world games. Public Relations outfit, IMG Kenya who represented the brand stated that apart from the KSH45 million sponsorship, Kenya Breweries through its flagship beer brand, Tuker Lager will be involved also in kitting the team. "As part of the partnership, KBL will also be involved in the production of the travelling kit for #TeamKenya heading to Tokyo. The company announced plans to engage some of Kenya’s top young designers to design the kit, being part of its efforts to support arts in the country." It said in a tweet. Managing Director Kenya Breweries Limited, John Musunga expresses confidence of the deal. "We are confident the partnership with Team Kenya is another great opportunity to express our continued support for our sports men and women as they represent us in Tokyo” Rugby Captain Andrew Noel Amonde and his teammates Olindi Johnstone represented the team in the event.
