Two injured during Kastina utd attack on Kano Pillars

It was a serious matter on Wednesday evening even as two Kano Pillars fans were seriously injured on Wednesday by angry Kastina utd fans. Bsnsports.com.ng reports

Kastina United fans attacked the Nigerian champions during the game tie between Kastina United and their visitors, Kano pillars at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

According to the media officer of Kano pillars Rilwanu Malikawa he said that the voilience started at half time in which both sides were playing a 1-1 draw at that time, that Kastina United fans started attacking Kano pillars players as well as the officials by throwing dangerous substance.

According to reports, Malikawa said that they couldn't return to the dressing room during the half time break even as they were be humiliated by throwing upon them sachet water.

The situation was controlled and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. But the major issue arose after the match even as Kastina United fans started attacking Kano pillars fans and even injured them.

No Kano pillars were injured due to the help of the police and the injured fans were taken to the hospital for treatment.

“We are still at the stadium, we are waiting for the security to lead us out of Katsina. Our players, the technical crew, our chairman and all our fans are still here in one place like refugees,”  a terrified Kano Pillars media officer Rilwanu Malikawa told our correspondent on the phone during the attack on Wednesday evening.
