U-17 players to resume camp ahead of the WAFU tournament

By Emediong Silver The Nigeria U-17 team will resume camp on Wednesday in Abuja ahead of the WAFU tournament to take place in Mauritania, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nigeria is drawn in Group B alongside Ghana and Ivory Coast. The Nigeria U-17 Squad camp was halted because of the outbreak of Corona Virus. Hence,the traditional open screening selection was cancelled by the NFF. However,the camp is expected to have 80 players to enable the coaches make the most of the selection process. This has however urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to cancel the usual open screening for selecting players for the U-17 squad and enable the coaches to focus on the selected players. The tournament which is billed to start from 5-12 December will have the top-two teams in these zonal qualifiers advance to the tournament African U-17 tournament in Morocco next year.
