....We will Surpass our past Records...Danjuma By Niyi Busari The head coach of the the Nigerian women U-20 team, Christopher Danjuma has assured Nigerians that his side will surpass the last achievements of the Falconets records at the Women U-20 World Cup competitions, Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports) reports. Falconets will now have to dust themselves up as the team have been doing well in the previous competition having lost twice in the U-20 FIFA Women world cup finals against Germany in 2010 and 2014, came third in 2012 and have reached the quarter final stages three times in 2004, 2006 and 2008. In this light, coach Christopher Danjuma is assuring Nigerians that they should expect nothing but the trophy when the France 2018 FIFA women U-20 world cup comes to an end. Falconets are in the same group with Germany, China and Haiti. However, Danjuma believed that his team has came up with an antidote to Germany pattern of play. He trust his girls to beat the German in their first match of the competition which starts on 5th August 2018. "We will play against Germany in our first game, the team we have played in the final two times. We have study them and have the antidote to their football pattern and style. " They are very fast and when you played against fast paced team, you don't give them space to run and play behind you, to do this , you must play possessive football." He also spoke on the team readiness and preparation for the tournament. "We are excellently ready. First, we have camped for players concentration and all that are needed to ensure successful participation in the world cup." "The team will depart very soon and will have to play two friendly matches during the training tour in Austria." He concluded
