U17 AFCON : Benin Republic Out of WAFU B Qualifiers in Niger

By Niyi Busari Benin Republic have been confirmed out of WAFU-B qualifiers in Niger Republic without kicking a ball at the West Africa Football Union B U17 African Nations Cup qualification stages. The West African country was reportedly to have ten (10) of their twenty (20) players screened out due to failure in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test during the screening exercise before the commencement of the tourney . Benin Republic is in group B alongside Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Coted'Ivoire. The U-17 AFCON qualifiers is expected to commence on Sunday September 2nd, 2018 with the hosts Niger Republic taking on Togo at 4pm Nigerian time. Benin Republic disqualification will leave group B with three countries; Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast. Five time world champions, the Golden Eaglets will play their first game against Burkina Faso on Monday by 4pm.
