  U17 AFCON: Border Closure Affect Golden Eaglets Opponent By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the 2021 U17 African Cup Of Nations, new law on border closure in Algeria has affected the the preparations of Algeria U17 team who happened to be group opponent of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Algeria government on Sunday afternoon announced a new law to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country which will start on 1st of March to 31st of March. "Due to the decision of state senior officials to cancel regular flight, the Ivorian U17 team cannot travel to Algers to face Algeria U17 in an international friendly match earlier scheduled for 4th and 7th of March," the statement reads. The federation of Algeria Football are already considering taking the match to neighbouring Morocco. Algeria which is in group B with Nigeria will open its campaign in the tournament against Congo on 14th of March, play Tanzania on 17th before playing Golden Eaglets on 20th of March in the last group game.
