By Sampson Adedeji
Former head coach of the Nigeria's Golden Eaglets, Garba Manu has urged the team to expect tough opponents if they want to scale the hurdle of group B, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The five-time World champions, is presently in group B alongside Tanzania, Algeria and Congo with the first game against Congo on 14th of March.
Manu picked WAFU champions, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal and Mali among the teams that will pose a big threat to the ambition of the team going far in the competition.
"The later stages we should get a stronger nation because all these Mali, Senegal and CIV that won the WAFU tournament are teams that can pose serious problem for any countries.
"Most of them have their players already playing in the league while Nigeria players are from secondary school and academy.
They are more exposed than the Nigeria players, that is what we suffered in Brazil.
"For you to win the trophy you must prepared very well and NFF must motivate the team too because if you don't motivate the team the boys will do their best but that motivation encourage them to do more for their country and themselves," he stated.
