U18, U21 Handball Championship: Lagos, Kwara Record 1st Win As FCT Face Kwara Today By Admin The 2019 Under 18 and Under 21 national handball championship commenced on Sunday at Rowe Sports center with much funfair. The first national championship in the calendar year of the Handball Federation of Nigeria saw the ladies slugging it out in the first game of the championship as Lagos lost very narrowly to Mind Scope 26-25 in the Under 18 category for women to set the pace for the excitement the fans will get in the championship. The President of HFN was very glad at the result and praised Mind Scope, an academy trained team for proving themselves against an accomplished Lagos side. In the U21 category for men, Kwara trounced Bayelsa 38-29 while Lagos inflicted a heavy defeat on Nasarawa 55-31 to the delight of the home fans. It will be recalled that the Director of Sports of Kwara Mallam Tunde Kazeem had boasted that they are coming to lagos to win the championship and that his wards have started on a good note.
