The World Volleyball governing body (FIVB) on Monday conducted the draw for twenty qualified countries for the U18 Volleyball Championship. The competition was last held in 2019 in Egypt and where USA, Italy and Brazil won the gold, silver, and bronze respectively. With the tournament to be held in Durango, Mexico, an online draw was held on Monday to split the 20 teams that will participate in the competition into four pools (with one team still to be confirmed). Nigeria was placed in group C alongside Romania, the USA, Thailand, and Puerto Rico. One of four Age-Category World Championships to take place this year, the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship is scheduled to be played from September 20 to 29.
