U20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Lose on Penalties Again As Amajita Claims Bronze

South Africa U-20 male team has won the 3rd-place match against Flying Eagles of Nigeria at the ongoing U20 African Nations Cup in Niger Republic, Bsnsports.com.ng can report.

The Amajita defeated Flying Eagles 5-3 on penalties to win the bronze medal.

Nigeria, seven-time champions of the AFCON U-20 for the first time in the history of the championship ended fourth.

The Nigeria U20 National Team though, dominated the proceedings but we're unable to break the South African defense throughout 120 minutes before heading for penalty shootout.

Flying Eagles as it was in the semi-final against Mali, again lost two penalties as the first penalty taker, Ibrahim Alhassan lost it.

The final of the tournament between the two finalists, Senegal and Mali is slated for tomorrow by 16:30 pm.
