After playing out a 1-1 draw against Cote d'Ivoire in the opening group B game of the West Africa Football Union competition, Nigeria's Flying Eagles Coach, Ladan Bosso, has attributed the to loss of two points to loss of concentration, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The seven-time African champions allowed the Ivorians to score a leveler in the 90th minute after netting the opening goal through Chris Nwaeze.
While reacting about the outcome of the match, Bosso said despite red card his boys still play better adding that they will go back and work on the mistakes noticed in the first match.
"There was loss concentration from their part, we got the goal and after the goal we got a red card and even after the red card we are still playing very well.
"But at the dying tale of it, there was loss of concentration from our defense line, so it was loss of concentration that gave them equalizer.
"However we look at those area that we have problem, this are not issues we should be discussing with the public because it's internal, we will go back and arrange our team against next match.
Two of us has one point from one match and i think we should go for a win against Ghana, it is a must to win against Ghana, there will be no room for any compromise and we believe that we can do it .
"If we can learn from this mistake and work towards it, i think we can play better," he said
Nigeria will face Ghana in the second match on Wednesday 9th of December and a win will guarantee a place in the next round of the competition.
