Seven teams were drawn in two groups of four and three. WAFU Zone B member teams are Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo. Togo, Benin Republic (host), Burkina Faso and Niger are in group A. While Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire are in group B. The 2020 WAFU B championship commences on December 5th and ends December 20th. The winner of championship automatically qualify for the CAF U20 African Nations Cup.
