For both West African countries, their first game is very crucial and a win for either side means the winners is one leg in the knockout stages. The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship is an association football tournament that is contested between national teams of Zone B of the West African Football Union . Seven teams were drawn in two groups of four and three. WAFU Zone B member teams are Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo. Togo, Benin Republic (hosts), Burkina Faso and Niger are in group A. The 2020 WAFU B championship commences on December 5 and ends December 20th. The winners of the championship automatically qualify for the CAF U20 African Nations Cup.
