U23 AFCON: Olympic Eagles Receive Ambassadorial Visit Boost Ahead Cote d'Ivoire Clash

Nigeria Olympic  Eagles got a  moral boost as the team received  the delegation of  Nigerian Ambassador to Egypt, Prof. Dandatti Abdulkadir OFR. 

 The  ambassador was represented by the embassy's top official  Alh.  Abubakar  Sadiq Muhammad who headed the delegation visit to the team's camp  at their base in Cairo, Novotel Hotels and Resorts on Thursday afternoon.

Alh. Sadiq noted the purpose of his visit is to welcome , rally support and throw their weight behind the team. 

"My presence here is to make sure you're comfortable." He told media

"On behalf of the Nigerian Ambassador to  Egypt Prof. Dandatti Abdulkadir OFR and the Nigerian Government , I welcome you to Egypt and wish you a successful outing in the forthcoming Afcon U23 tournament."

"Football is a major unifying factor in our country, and I believe you will all make us proud starting from the game against CotD ' Ivore on Saturday."

"We will be at the stadium on Saturday in order to give you our   maximum support ."

Alh., Abubakar Sadiq Muhammad was accompanied by the embassy's head of chancery, Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Ghazali and the admin officer,  Muhammad Tukur Garba. 

The Olympic Eagles kickoff their title defence of the Afcon U23 tournament against Cotd'lvore  on Saturday.
