U23 AFCON qualifier: Azubuike Favours To Captain Nigeria U23 Team, Nwakali As Assistant By Sampson Adedeji BSNSports.com.ng understand that Rizespor FC of Turkey midfielder, Azubuike Okechukwu will be handed the captaincy of the Nigeria U23 team who are now in Tunisia for the African Nation Cup qualifying match against Libya. The team dominated by home-based players under the tutelage of Imama Amapakabo has been in camp for close to a month ago getting ready for the tie. The team departed for Tunisia on Wednesday and invited foreign based players have already arrived Tunisia on Monday. Nwakali who is on loan from Arsenal to Porto B team is expected be the assistant captain and also to anchor the midfield alongside the favoured captain Rizespor of Turkey midfielder Azubuike Okechukwu. The match is slated for Wednesday in Tunisia.
