U23 AFCON Qualifier: Azubuike confident of victory

Ahead of the U23 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan, Nigeria's Dream Team VII skipper Azubuike Okechukwu is confident of securing a win despite weather situation.

BSN reports, Nigeria will seek to record a positive when they face Sudan in Khartoum later on Thursday evening.

The team arrived on Wednesday afternoon and have their first training at the match venue ahead of the clash.

The team captain laments the weather condition but believe they secure a good result.

"The weather is very hot actually… but I feel we are going to win the game," he said.

The match is scheduled for 6pm Nigeria time at the El Merriehk stadium in Omburdman with return leg slated for Nigeria on 10th of September.
