U23 AFCON qualifier: We are ready for Libya - Amapakabo By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the U23 AFCON qualifier Nigeria's Dream Team VII coach Imama Amapakabo has confirmed the readiness of the team for Libya clash. The team has been in camp in the last ten days in Abuja preparing for the match slated for 20th of March. According to the coach, "We are prepared, the game comes up on 20th of March, we have being training for the past 10 days and still have 16 days to go. "We are definitely expecting other players to join us, the match will come up during FIFA window, so, foreign players that fall within age bracket will be invited to join the team. "We are ready for the Libya team and we have more than enough to work with. Imama speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng on how much he knows Libya U23 team, said; "Our scouts are working on them to get vital information about the team and we are trying to follow them as well. "We know that they are a team that has being together for some time now and they are players that played in their last U20 competition and we know what they are capable of doing," Amapakabo stated. Egypt will host U23 AFCON competition in December 2019 with last 4 teams picking Tokyo 2020 Olympic tickets allocated to Africa. Nigeria's U23 team will travel to Libya to lock horns in the first leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifier.
