UCL
The Champions League 2021/22 season continued on Tuesday for the matchday three of the Group stages with a number of matches on the cards across different venues.  The biggest game of the day was between Atletico Madrid hosting Liverpool at Wanda Metropolitano in a Group B clash. The Reds went top of the group following a 3-2 victory over Madrid, maintaining a 100% record in the UCL so far with three wins. Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita were on target early in the opening 13 minutes but Atleti staged a comeback to draw level thanks to a brace from Antoine Griezmann. However, the game took a different turn when Griezmann was sent off after catching Roberto Firmino on the face with a high boot. Atleti tried to contain Liverpool but it could not work for the ten-man and Salah completed his brace from the spot, a strike that sealed the Reds' victory. In the other match of the same group, FC Porto shocked AC Milan as they registered a 1-0 victory to hand the Italian side the third defeat in as many as games. The Reds top the group with nine points while Atleti are second with four points, same as Porto but have an inferior goal difference.
