UDALA FC LAUNCHES CLUB BUS, PLAYERS CERTIFIED COVID-19 FREE AS THEY PREPARE FOR NEW SEASON

Ambitious Nigeria Nationwide league One side, Udala FC of Uke in Anambra State is leaving no stone unturned in their preparation for the coming 2020/2021 season.


Apart from being one of the few teams with a functioning Club camp in the league, they have just launched a 32 seater Coaster bus for ease of traveling and for the comfort of the players.
President of the Club, Chief Phillip Chinonso Udala said the bus will eliminate the burden of players traveling in chattered buses.
"My players have been traveling in hired buses whenever we have away games in both the NLO and the Anambra Independent football league (AIFL) and that put a lot of pressure on the players"
"Now they can travel in comfort and dish out quality football which they have been known with"
Udala players resumed on the 9th of September after 5-Month break and began using the bus to and from training on the morning of Monday, September 14 in anticipation of the new season.


In another development, players and officials of the team have all been certified CoronaVirus free after a test conducted at one of the Anambra State Government sanctioned test centres, The General Hospital in Onitsha.
With the Club President's sense of concern over the novel Coronavirus as the team planned resumption, all resuming officials and players were ferried to the medical facility for their tests and all results came back negative.
The squad has been training as normal without being susceptible to the disease in camp or training.


In yet another development, the team with the mantra 'Shine The Light' team has strenghtened is media communications department with the purchase of brand new HD video Camera, Canon Photo Camera, Photo Copier machine and Desk Top computer for coverage of it's games and trainings as well as editing of the videos and pictures.
Udala FC came short of promotion to the NNL finishing second behind Crime Busters FC of Enugu in the 2019 NLO season. Recall that the 2020 season was cancelled because of the Corona Virus.


The 'Yellow and Blue' team is the current back to back AIFL champions in 2018, 2019 and waiting for the playoffs of the 2020 season to achieve a third year success after being run-away table toppers before the league was halted by Covid-19 in March.
