UEFA Champions League: Desser Scores As Genk Crash Out Sampson Adedeji Action resumed in the second leg of the third preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League and it was a day to forget for Nigeria's Super Eagles duo of Paul Onuachu and Cyril Dessers, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The Belgian Jupiler league side RKC Genk was hoping to turn the table against Ukrainian club Shaktar Donetsk after losing at home in the first leg 1-2. But it was never meant to be as they suffered another 2-1 away in Kiev on Tuesday Onuachu who netted the only goal in the first leg started the game while Dessers started the day in the bench. Shaktar proved their superiority by scoring in each half through Traore and Marcos Bahia in the 27th and 76th minutes of the game. Dessers was introduced in the 68th minute for Lucumi and he was able to make his introduction counted by reducing the deficit in the 90th minute. His compatriot Onuachu was replaced by Mujaid Sadick in the 82nd minute of the encounter. The defeat ensured that Genk lost to Shaktar 4-2 on the aggregate scoreline and will further campaign in the UEFA Europa League
