Iwobi Goal Fail To Lift Arsenal

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi's 4th-minute strike was not enough for Arsenal as Rennes thrashed the North London team 3-1 at the Rhoazon Park Rennes, France, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Alex Iwobi put Arsenal ahead in the early minute in a game that looked like the Gunners will add more to claim the maximum points in the round of 16 of the Europa Uefa Cup.
Rennes winger, Bourigeaud who was cautioned in the 38th minute scored the equalizer four minutes later to bring smiles and hope to the faces of the home fans.

On resumption of the second half, exactly 20 minutes into the game, Arsenal defender, Nacho Monreal scored an own goal to give Rennes a lead for the first time in the encounter.
Unai Emery tutored-team lost control of the game as Ismaila Sarr broke the heart of the traveling fans in the 88th minute to increase the goal advantage to 3-1 in favour of the hosts.
Alex Iwobi was substituted in the 52nd minute for Matteo Ghendouzi.
Arsenal will face in-form Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
