UEL: Osimhen Misses Out On Player Of The Week Award By Omolagba Oluwayemi Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen missed out on the prestigious Europa League player of the week despite his excellent performance against Leicester City, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Osimhen bagged a brace as he helped Napoli rally from two goals down to play a 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium in England and that performance has left many talking across Europe and Africa, heaping praises on the young forward. The outstanding earned him a place in the final four players nominated for the award but lost out to 2014 world cup winner Mario Gotze who on his own scored a goal and an assist as PSV and Real Sociedad one-two played a 2-2 draw. Osimhen’s first goal against Leicester also missed out on the goal of the week, losing to Karl Toko Ekambi’s strike for Lyon against Rangers.
