Uganda Bundle D'Tigers Out of 2021 Afrobasket By Our Reporter Nigeria senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers have been knocked out of the 2021 AfroBasket Championships, The former champions were bundled out following a shock 68-80 defeat to Uganda. The Nigeria national team who failed to clinch the quarter-finals ticket after losing to Cote d'Ivoire finished the first quarter trailing Uganda by 12 points, and later increased to 15 points lead. D'Tigers in their group games failed to win a single match in three at the just-concluded Tokyo Olympics Nigeria finished the third quarter trailing Uganda by 18 points and eventually lost the game 68-80 (12-24, 19-20, 18-23, 19-13). With the loss, the Nigerian side will now focus on the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers after the Afrobasket classification games.
