Ujah Scores In Mainz Pre-Season Friendly Rout Of Phonix By Admin Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah was on target for his Bundesliga club Mainz 05 who thrashed German seventh-tier side JFK SV Phonix 12-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. The game was part of Mainz’s preparation heading into the 2018/2019 German football season. Ujah scored with five minutes remaining in the first half to make it 3-0 in favour of Mainz. Mainz will kick off their league campaign with a home game against Stuttgart on August 25. They ended last season in the 14th position in the 18-club Bundesliga final table last season. Ujah failed to score a single goal after 12 appearances in all competitions following his return to German football from Chinese Super League club Liaoning in January, 2018.
