Unity Preseason: Dante FC Defeat Sokoto United In Friendly Match By Our Reporter Sokoto United on Monday in Abuja lost to Dante FC in a preseason friendly game played at the prestigious Premier Academy stadium in Lugbe. Sokoto United who are in Abuja for the Unity Preseason Tournament used their rest day to engage one of the local academies in Abuja. Coach Mhammed Mohammed led Sokoto United dominated early exchanges but failed to utilise their chances. The game came alive in the second half when Austin Osimhen lashed on a cross from James Chukwuemeka to register the only goal in the keenly contested encounter. Dante FC led by former Golden Eaglets scouting coach, Bunmi Haruna ringed some changes in the second half and one of the substitutes Osimhen scored from close range to settle the game. Sokoto United are in Abuja for the Unity Preseason Tournament. The Nigerian second division club lost their first game of the preseason tournament 3-1 to Simonben FC and are scheduled to play Plateau United of Jos on Tuesday at the Area 3 play ground.
