Victor Osimhen breaks two decade record in the French Ligue 1

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has broken a two decade record in the French Ligue 1 after scoring his 7th goal of the season against Nimes over the weekend in a game that ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

The goal maniac's latest record breaking was confirmed by Opta Jean who stated that Osimhen's goal on Sunday made it five consecutive times he has scored in home games for his club Lille.

It was recalled that the last time there was such a record in the French Ligue 1, was in 1999 by Alex Dias of St. Etienne .

The former U-17 Golden Boot winner Victor Osimhen, is now the first player to earn such a feat in the French Ligue 1 after twenty years.
