Victory over Galatasaray excites Okechukwu

Despite failing to lead Nigeria's Dream Team VII into the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, captain Azubuike Okechukwu was thrown into action straight by his Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Basekhir against Galatasaray, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Okechukwu who is on loan to Basekhir from Egyptian Premier League side Pyramid FC has been a key player in the club.

Basekhir on Friday night stunned host Galatasaray in Super Lig match with a 0-1 win with goals from Fredrik Gulbrandsen.

Former Bayelsa United player played active role in the game before he was substituted in the 78th minute of the game.
