Covid 19 Campaign: Dare, Kanu, Okocha, Oshoala, 39 Others Sensitize Nigerians

To further raise awareness about the pandemic COVID 19 in Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development in partnership with the Nigeria Olympic Committee team up with some of its most iconic sports stars including Kanu ‘Papilo’ Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Mary Onyali, Blessing Okagbare, Tobi Amusan, Eniefiok Udo-Obong, Chika Chukwumerije, Ahmed Musa and a host of others to create more awareness to Nigerians on the deadly disease.

The 43-line campaign message, introduced by the Honourable Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, is recited by a total of 41 ex and current International athletes made up of 19 male and 22 females across 14 sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Handball, Judo, Para-Athletics, Powerlifting, Para-Rowing, Shooting, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Wrestling and Volleyball.

The objective of the campaign by the Feferal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and NOC with the Nation’s Olympic, Commonwealth and African medalists is to inform the public about the virus, also enlightened Nigerians on the preventive measures and what to do to help stop the spread and then give hope for the future to Nigerians.
