This means that the key man will miss the Cityzen's trip to Everton on Sunday, as well as the Champions League clash with PSG on Wednesday and the league fixture at home to West Ham the following weekend.
"Kevin has tested positive for Covid so he must isolate for 10 days," said Guardiola.
"Now he has to recover well. The human being is more important than anything else. He was vaccinated, so he is more protected, so hopefully, the symptoms are minimized."
"Right now it's not about the rhythm or who we are going to miss, it's about the human being."
