By Sampson Adedeji
Former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi arrived Trabzonspor on Monday with vociferous crowd waiting to catch the glimpse of their newly acquired midfielder .
The former Chelsea player signed for the Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor just before the start of just concluded 2019 African Cup of Nations on a 2 year deal.
Mikel spent last season on loan with English Championship side Middlesbrough but refused to sign an extension with the club.
Trabzonspor agreed a 2-year deal with the midfielder as the club hope to make meaningful progress in the domestic and continental scene.
