Video: Tricycle Takes Over Renovation of Samson Siasia Stadium Ahead CAF Confederation Cup Match
By Our Reporter
The Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa appears to be undergoing renovation in a rather strange and funny manner few days to Bayelsa United’s CAF Confederations Cup game against their Guinean opponent.
In a short video made available to BSN Sports, the renovation work is being done using tricycle popularly called Keke. Further investigation revealed that the contractor carrying out the renovation work is cleaning up the playing turf using Keke to do the job which ordinarily would have required a tractor.

“If somebody in this jet age is using Keke to brush up a playing turf then you don’t need a soothsayer to tell you the kind of job being done. The playing surface may end up not being top notch,” our source stated.
When this writer called Bayelsa State born Ebi Egbe to speak on the pitch which was constructed by his firm, Monimichelle, he simply said he is too busy in Lagos with the Aisha Buhari Cup and wouldn’t want to dissipate energy talking about the Samson Siasia arena.
