Volleyball: Nigeria Custom Record Fifth Win in Premier League Volleyball The Nigeria Custom Service (NSC) on Thursday recorded their fifth win in the ongoing second phase of the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League. NCS on Thursday defeated the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 3-0 (25-24 25-19 25-18) in the men's category to record their fifth victory. The coach of NCS, Jonah Adamu, was delighted over the winning streak and hoped that the team win their remaining four matches. "We won all the five matches played so far, we have four more matches left to play. " I think fatigue is already telling on the players but we are coping and doing well, we are satisfied with their performance. " We are playing our next match with UCEM of Anambra on Saturday. Tomorrow (Friday) is a rest day and they will use that to recover and rest," he said. The management is already encouraging the teams with the necessary support for them to have an excellent performance. "Our target is to lift up the trophy for both male and female teams ," he said On his part , the coach of NIS, Ibrahim Mangani, said his players fought well even though they lost their match. "We have not been training together and that was what even contributed to our failures. "If you watch the other opponent you find out that they have been in camp for sometime and we have not been in the camp . "The boys try well, this is our fifth match, the boys are improving on daily matches played and they should remain focused and we are targeting to win our next match," he said. Other matches played in the males categories, Offa VC team lost to Nigeria Police Force (NPF) 3-2. Meanwhile, Kano Pillars defeated UCEM of Anambra 3-1. In the women's category of the league, NSCDC Queens beat immigration Babes 3-0., while Kada Emerald lost to Custom 1-3. COAS Babes beat NPF Babes 3-0. A total of 17 teams which comprises of 10 male and seven female teams are participating in the ongoing 2021 premier league. This is the final phase of Volleyball Premier League which started on Sunday and is expected to end on December 21 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium package B. Abuja.
