Volleyball: Nimrod hails Nigeria U20 girls By Dare Kuti The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has heaped praise on the U20 women's team over their performance at the recently concluded U20 Women's Africa Nations Cup in Nairobi, Kenya. Nimrod gave the commendation when he received the team at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Tuesday. The nation's volleyball supremo expressed his satisfaction in the team's wonderful display, stressing that they were outstandingly at the competition. He gave the assurance of his Federation's leadership on remain supportive to the team and pledged not relent in doing its best to promote them within available resources. "You have done well by coming fourth at the U20 Women's Africa Volleyball Nations Cup in Kenya. Many did not believe in you because this is the first time Nigeria is attend this tournament in 15 years," Nimrod told the players. “You played with great zeal and commitment. I am very impressed and by the grace of God we'll continue to support your career,” he said. He charged the girls to maintain their good character and form in the quest to win more laurels for the country. "I want you all to return to your respective state and continue training. Don't let this result get into your head because we have a long way to go as a Federation. The federation have programs lined up till the end of this year which will keep you occupied", he said.
