  Volleyball U19 AFCON: Gambia A Contender, Not Pretender - Head Coach The Head Coach of Gambia U19 Boys volleyball team, Amadou Jarju has expressed happiness over the country's debut appearance in the underage tournament. Jarju told CAVB media that it is a dream come true for the young players who have been together for over a year. He said Gambia will be title contenders and not pretenders at the Championship. Jarju said, "I am excited the boys will participate at this year's U19 Boys African Nations Volleyball Championship taking place in Abuja. "The players have dreamt of this day and I am happy their dream is now a reality. The boys will give all their strength in the tournament and we hope not to return empty-handed". "Gambia are here for the trophy, we are title contenders and not pretenders like some people have labeled us before the blast of the whistle", Jarju told CAVB media.
